As Chief Executive Officer & Founder of The Rilington Group and its affiliated companies, Mickie L. Riley remains focused on the core values that have guided his career in the homebuilding industry over the past four decades.

Beyond his proven professional insight in the development of consistently profitable projects, Mickie maintains a personal devotion to innovation and integrity, which creates exceptionally satisfied home buyers.

He has been responsible for over 1 billion dollars of real estate development over his long career. This includes thousands of residential homes, commercial projects; master planned communities, golf courses, recreational facilities, medical facilities and much more. As a successful self-made entrepreneur and business man he brings all the fundamentals necessary to render any business successful.

His diversified expertise includes all facets of multi-dimensional development and construction. This included acquisitions, construction, development, sales, marketing, finance, public relations, customer service, personnel management and direct bottom line responsibility for maximizing profitability of business ventures. He has earned the trust of his associates and investors alike.

Prior to forming his own homebuilding company in 1989, Mickie served as Senior VP and the Director of Operations for Watt Industries San Diego, Inc. and was involved instrumentally in Watt’s signature collections including Fairbanks Ranch, The Villages of Fairbanks and The Landing in Coronado.

Prior to joining Watt Industries, Mickie served as Division Manager for the Meister Company and was responsible for launching the firm’s San Diego division in 1977. He directed project management, budgeting, land acquisition, planning and construction.

Mickie is a noted public speaker as a business and industry expert and professional and was awarded the prestigious Builder of the Year award in 2006 and recognized as Business Leader of the Year in 2007 by the Desert Building Industry Association.
