Denise Sands
Controller
Denise Sands serves as Controller for The Rilington Group where she directs all project and development accounting. Sands joined Rilington in 1999 as Controller and Office Manager though she had been working with Mickie Riley since 1985.
Prior to her position with Rilington she held several positions including Controller, Assistant Controller, Office and Accounting Manager for some of the premier builders in Southern California including Watt Homes, Riley Loma Linda, HNR Framing and Hammond & Masing Construction.
While at Hammond & Masing Denise established the company on a computerized accounting system and was instrumental in their growth from 30 employees to over 250 in the four years she was with the company. She has also been responsible for setting up three start-up companies including the leasing of office space, office equipment, and the implementation of software programs.
Denise holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/Accounting from The University of Phoenix.
