Rilington Names Bruce Maize Chief Operating Officer

The Rilington Group is pleased to announce long-time homebuilding industry executive, Bruce Maize, will join the Rilington Group as Chief Operating Officer, effective July 1, 2018.

As the Rilington Group continues its growth as the Coachella Valley’s premier homebuilder, the addition of Maize supports the company’s strategic plan and vision. “Bringing Bruce onto the Rilington team is a major step in the next generation of Rilington as a company as we gear up our businesses for the future, said Mickie Riley,” President and Founder of the Rilington Group.

“I’ve known Bruce for almost 20 years and his integrity, high standards and the way he does business fits right into who we are as a company. With Bruce on board as Chief Operating Officer, handling the daily operations, I will be free to devote myself to finding new development opportunities, raising capital, putting together projects and business development,” Riley explains.

Maize has spent 35 years in the land development and building industry. His experience includes all aspects of development from the entitlement process, land planning, site development, home building/construction management, sales management and post-closing oversight. “I am thrilled Rilington is bringing Bruce on as Chief Operating Officer. He brings his years of experience and expertise into our company. His positive team approach falls right in line with the Rilington culture,” said Hansi Riley, Vice President and Co-Founder.

From entry-level to luxury product, Maize has had direct involvement in over 3,200 lots or homes. Development sizes range from single custom homes to communities with more than 400 homes. Most of Maize’s career has been in the greater Coachella Valley. Prior to joining the Rilington Group, Maize was general manager for Discovery Builders California, where he was responsible for overseeing construction management and the company’s construction operations at The Madison Club and The Thermal Club. He is an active member of the community and the local homebuilding industry. Maize is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Desert Valley Builder’s Association, having served as its immediate Past President. He resides in La Quinta with his wife and two children.
