Builder of the Year Rilington Communities announced that Wesley Ahlgren has been promoted to Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Rilington Communities. In his new position, Ahlgren will manage community and legislative affairs, media relations and special projectsfor the growing regional homebuilder.
Ahlgren was promoted based on his exceptional service to both the company and the community at large according to Rilington CEO, Mickie Riley. “Wes has worked very hard and done a great job for us beginning with the transition of our business to the Coachella Valley two years ago” states Riley. In his new position he will act as my right hand. This move will allow me to focus more time on the strategic long term objectives of Rilington by allowing Wes to handle more day-to-day issues. “Now he plays an integral role in the planning of our future residential and commercial developments in the desert, which are numerous.” Riley also notes that Ahlgren’s community service was an important factor in the promotion because the company’s values are based in part on giving back to the communities it serves.
Ahlgren devotes many hours of his free time serving as a contributor and supporter of numerous community organizations. His affiliations include the Building Industry Association, Desert Chapter where he serves as a member of the board of directors and the executive committee as second vice president; Leadership Coachella Valley; the Boys and Girls Club of Indio, and various local chambers of commerce. He was recently awarded the “40 Under 40”
designation by Palm Springs Life magazine, which recognizes some of the most influential and dynamic young business leaders in the Coachella Valley.
