Rilington Communities Named 2006 ‘Builder of the Year’

CATHEDRAL CITY ― January 2, 2007 ― Rilington Communities has been recognized with the prestigious “Builder of the Year” designation for 2006 from the BIA (Building Industry Association) Desert Chapter. Theaward was presented to Rilington principals, Mickie and Hansi Riley at the holiday-themed BIA awards gala by Palm Springs Mayor Ron Odom and John Young, President of Young Homes and of the BIASC. Fred Bell, the BIA Desert Chapter Executive Director offered many words of praise to the Rileys and Rilington Communities. Numerous cities in Riverside County presented a proclamation to the newly named “Builder of the Year.” Held at the elegant Renaissance Esmeralda on Saturday, December 16, the black-tie gala included a roster of attendees made up of prominent city dignitaries as well as building industry professionals.

Rilington Communities presents ‘Dolce’ to Palm Desert with dedication ceremony

PALM DESERT ― August 2, 2006 ― The exciting new home community of “Dolce” by Rilington Communities was officially welcomed to the valley at a groundbreaking and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, August 2. Officials of the Palm Desert City Council including Mayor Pro Tem Dick Kelly, members of the Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce, and other distinguished guests of the local media and building industry comprised the group. Rilington Communities unveils new headquarters with ribbon-cutting ceremony

CATHEDRAL CITY ― July, 2006 ― Rilington Communities celebrated the official dedication of their new suite of offices in Cathedral City on Wednesday, July 19, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tours. The event included a dedication to Mickie Riley, President of Rilington Communities by Steve Sanchez of Assembywoman Bonnie Garcia’s office, and words from Cathedral City Mayor, Kathy DeRosa, Fred Bell, Executive Officer of the Building Industry Association/ Southern California Desert Chapter, and Chairman-elect of the Cathedral City Chamber of Commerce, and by Mary Beth Hunt, Executive Director of The Chamber. Attendees also included a number of distinguished officials of The Cathedral City Chamber of Commerce, the City Council and members of the building industry. A special appearance was made by Assemblywoman Bonnie Garcia, who offered a warm welcome to Cathedral City and congratulations to the Rilington team.
