(La Quinta, CA – August 12, 2014) The Rilington Group, a well-respected Coachella Valley homebuilder and developer, recently entered into a second agreement with the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians (ACBCI). The Rilington Group is developing 126 lots in Palm Springs for Umbria, a single-family modern architecturally styled community.

“I am excited to present the first Rilington Group community featuring our distinct take on modern architectural design in the Coachella Valley,” says Mickie Riley, President of The Rilington Group. “Umbria is a flagship neighborhood for our company as it adds an additional design dimension to our wide variety of product offerings. Once again, we look forward with great eagerness to working with our friends and partners, the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, on this unique project,” Riley adds.

Centrally located in Palm Springs, at Via Escuela and Gene Autry Trail near Vista Chino, Umbria offers convenient freeway access, yet is close to downtown Palm Springs. Umbria is comprised of both Tribal owned and Fee Simple land. These contemporary single and two story homes range from 1800 square feet to 2800 square feet. Buyers will have a variety of stylized choices of three unique homes with approximately nine different floor plans. The community will feature a dog park and easy access to the Whitewater Trail System.

The Rilington Group and the ACBCI Tribe are committed to developing and building Umbria as a high quality community, adding to the current renaissance of Palm Springs. “We have been working closely with The Rilington Group to realize the vision of building two new up-scale neighborhoods in Palm Springs,” Tribal Chairman Jeff Grubbe said. “These homes are well-designed. This is the kind of project we were hoping for in this location, and it will set the bar for others to follow.”

The Rilington Group is simultaneously working on expanding the Umbria project with land assemblage of two contiguous sites, including an additional 22 lots from an allotted Tribal member and 39 fee simple lots, for a total of 187 lots. The project’s infrastructure is slated to begin in the first quarter of 2015, with models projected for the summer of 2015.

The Rilington Group’s first project this year, currently under construction with the ACBCI, is Vallera Palm Springs at Village Traditions, a gated community of 52 single family detached homes slated to open in late September 2014. “The spirit of cooperation that we’ve been a part of is an absolute pleasure,” notes Riley.

The Rilington Group is known for high quality throughout its homes, no matter the price point. Umbria will have all the high quality features both inside and out that Rilington communities have been noted for over the past four decades.
